"This KOA was so beautiful and serene! It has the cleanest bathrooms/showers that I’ve seen at a KOA. The laundry facilities were spotless (and all the machines in working order!) we were warmly greeted at check-in and were escorted to our site by Dave. His hospitality was immediately shown as he visited with our family to learn about us, shared some of his story, and quickly delivered campfire wood. Dave graciously kept the pool open for our family past closing, as we were later to arrive to our campsite, but knew how much it meant to the kids. He also offered golf rides to and from our site for our mom. Very wonderful place! Only regret is that we only got to spend 1 night here as we make our way to TN!"

"This was our first time staying at a KOA property, and we absolutely loved our experience. (For background, I am more of a hotel person). My husband and I traveled with our two young kids (4 and 7), and they both rated our experience as "infinity stars." We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins, and it was extremely clean and comfortable. The size was perfect for four people, and it was nice having a full size fridge, sink, and microwave for basic meals. There was a bench on the porch and four adirondack chairs with a firepit on the side of the cabin. The real highlight for the kids was the amenities: the super mega slide, the pool (very clean!), and the jumping pillow. The playground was basic but still very fun for the kids. We didn't have time for the mini golf or fishing pond, but those both looked like nice options as well. I read a lot of reviews that gave low ratings due to the noise of the highway, but it did not bother us at all- it was more background noise than anything. Also, most of the other accommodations in the area were also right off the highway, so car and truck noise are basically unavoidable. Our ultimate destination was Mammoth Cave, so if you're a family looking for a close place to stay (about 20 minutes from KOA parking lot to visitor center) with more charm and experience than a hotel, I highly recommend KOA Horse Cave. As we continue our family travels in the future, we'll always look for KOA properties nearby."

"This was an amazing place to stay. We booked just one night as we were headed north on a road trip but made a point to stay here again on the way back. Stayed in a Stagecoach the first night and then a teepee the next time. So clean! So friendly! Everything top notch. I will stop here and stay next time I am in a road trip that way. Has so much for the kids to do. Highly recommend. You can’t go wrong!"
